CAT Guy, Trucking Co. I drove for back in the 1980'S out of Davenport, Iowa sent half a dozen trucks east to Westville, Indiana 5 days a week for many years. That stretch of Interstate we referred to as the Bermuda triangle. Most days we'd hit the west end, where I-80 and 294 merged or split about 10 AM. Some days we got to Westville by 11, other days it might be 2 PM. Right and center lane bumper to bumper trucks, left lane Illinois law restricts to only cars, may be a few cars but most want to mix in with the trucks, and drive slow. Had a big traffic stoppage west bound one day. Took the Skyway. Cost a lot of money to drive over that big old Bridge, but saved me a couple hours that day. I've been kicked off expressways at 2 AM in Chicago due to a tiny traffic accidents, spent 3-4 hours trying to get from I-294 to I-65 one Saturday about 6 am in my pickup, construction company had 3 lanes squeezed down to ONE. Driving around Chicago and hauling freight was interesting and challenging. Glad I did it, glad I'M not doing it now. Some of the places we went frequently were the worst places around town to be. Our company opened a small terminal in Kansas City, MO. I started running west and south for a while, liked that better.

The year was about 1967 and my father found a good used Ford 601 tractor to use on the farm instead of "Bob", our old mule. Now my grandfather had had this mule since the mid 40's and he was getting some age on him. S
