I had the conventional tractor seat. I know what yours looks like as I saw plenty of standared Kabotas (and others) for sale on ebay when looking for a seat. That seat has the same problem as my OEM seat which is height. Back a few days ago I posted and listed where I had been on this reseat thing and height was always a problem, even with the air seat.
What works about this seat is that it's low profile but has the full range suspension springs mounted behind the seat. This allows for low mounting yet giving you the full use of a long stroke suspension system which you need for low tension (for a soft ride) but enough length to keep from bottoming out.
I supplied enough information with my original post, back about Wednesday of this week.....looking for information on a Bucket Seat and what I showed today that you ought to be able to come up with your own fix. The whole intent of my posting the way that I did was to share my experiences with other folks whom I know full well are a lot of you out there with the same problem with light tractors and big stiff tires.
Couple more shots showing how much room is available. Plenty of room to get in and out, even with my height plenty of height to get to the pedals but the steering wheel is comfortably available.
First pic is feet on the floor. Second is right foot on left brake pedal 3rd is looking down showing the position of the wheel and clearance to get in and out.
Only thing I had to do was to fabricate a 3/16 steel plate shown as the last shot in the first posting with 4 holes for mounting to the tractor seat mounting surface and 2ea ½" studs (bolts I stuck through holes from the bottom and welded to the plate) for mounting the seat.
Seat plus shipping will run you about $130-140 on ebay for a reference. Guarantee you the best money you ever spent if your back means more to you than your wallet and the best money I spent on fixing this problem of all it cost me looking for a workable solution. Letting your tire air down as far as reasonable for your application is part of the process and yes wheel weights help too but the seat.....Wink!

Today's Featured Article - Product Review: Black Tire Paint - by Staff. I have been fortunate in that two of my tractors have had rear tires that were in great shape when I bought the tractor. My model "H" even had the old style fronts with plenty of tread. My "L" fronts were mismatched Sears Guardsman snow tires, which I promptly tossed. Well, although these tires were in good shape as far as tread was concerned, they looked real sad. All were flat, but new tubes fixed that. In addition to years and years of scuffing and fading, they had paint splattered on
