This Circle D trailer had 4 helper springs on the shaft to help lift the beaver tail. One was broken and one other was rusted half way thru. I do not know what these springs were rated for and so all I could do was order 2 more right hand springs that were of the same wire thickness. As difficult as the re assembly is going, I now wonder if all I should be using are the two new springs. The old springs had six coils and the new ones have twelve. I should be able to get it together this afternoon, and then I will be able to open and close it to check how well it works, but if I need to remove the two old springs, I would rather do to now and make the re assembly easier.
