One purpose of reading everything in the original post is to try to identify the question or questions that are being asked.
Once the question is identified, read the question carefully.
Write it down on paper or type it in the Message: box on the forum.
Read the original post again noting the information given by the original poster that will help eliminate redundancy in the answer.
Keep to the point; the answer should be as brief as possible for a complete answer.
Don't write about other things than what the question asked for.

If there is additional information from either the operator's manual, service manual, or parts catalog that has not been presented, then consider whether to take the time to reply.
