I have a ford 3600 that I bought a few months ago that has a turf harvester on the side for our turf/sod business. there was oil coming out the top of the steering column so I went online and found that it may be seals in the steering shaft that have gone. The steering was working perfectly fine when apart from the oil leak. so I stripped down the steering assembly and changed the seals for new ones. I was very careful to take pictures and draw diagrams where all the parts went but for some reason I now have no power steering at all. I tried to diagnose the problem by taking the pipes that go onto the steering rams either side off and started the machine and turned the steering wheel, no oil was coming out of any of the ports.
I am really stuck and don't know what to do.
I am at the point that I may have to call my newholland dealer and get a mechaninc out.:(
Any suggestions on how to fix the problem or help with diagnosing would be muchly appreciated.

In this series we are going to investigate and learn the basic rudimentary skills of understanding this lingo.
