I am posting an asking this question for a friend that I helped on his farm he has a new Holland 488 Mower and the bushing breaking in the sickle bar the sickle bar Moves In and Out of the mower by hand with ease but for some reason the bushing going out put a brand new bushing and with into swipes of mowing the bushing broke again and this is the fourth one that has been put in in around a two to three weeks time. We were wondering if anyone had any ideas on what could be causing the bearing to be going out it doesn't seem like anything is restricting the bar but we figure something else has to be wrong that keeps making the bushing break at this point it's getting kind of expensive can't afford a new machine so need to fix this one otherwise we will be purchasing hey to feed around 70 head of cattle all winter long which it will be very expensive to do so we are hoping to fix the situation thanks so much for everyone or anyone's help.
