I usually have all my firewood harvested, split and stacked in my woodshed buy this time of the year. Have had lots of distraction projects this year. I went up to a new area in the wood lot yesterday and blazed a road, and cleared a spot for a landing. I skidded out a good number of windfalls yesterday to the landing. Today I cut some standing dead, and some dyeing and distressed trees. I figure that I have about 5 cord of wood skidded to the landing area on both sides of the new road to the landing. as per tonight. It sure was a beautiful day to work in the woods. I went up about 10:00am with my lunch bag filled with a ham sub, some canned ice tea, and a few barley pops for the end of the days work Next phase is to block all the logs and limbs into 19" pieces, and then bring in the splitter with elevator, and split and load all the split blocks into my dump trailers, and then transport the trailer loads home and stack the wood into the wood shed. Hope to have 14 cord of wood cut, split, and stacked in the wood shed by Aug 30th. My wood cutting team consists of Me, Myself, and I. Loren
