About 10 years ago, I worked for a manufacturing company that was founded in the 1870s. During their peak employment, they had about 600-700 people on the payroll. Anyway, I happened to see one of their brochures from that era that bragged that they had 11 full-time nurses on hand. Okay....a nurse is there to help people get back to full health. Now I'm sure there were a lot of workplace accidents, but did they have to brag about all the people that were getting hurt while they were making their products?

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
