Years ago, I had this hereford that was part deer (lol). She could clear a 5 strand barb wire fence.
Every day I came home from work there she would be, out in my hay field just chomping along. She'd hear me coming up my gravel drive and look at me and grin!. I chase her around the hay field times in my truck until she was done making fun of me. Then she'd jump back across the fence into the grazing pasture.
I came home one day and sure enough, there she was in the hay field waiting for the daily game of tag. I'd had enough and was going to run over her. I stomped on the pedal and spun tires in the gravel. Headed across that hay field bouncing up and down. I guess she figured I wasn't playing today. She spun around and went at a full run for the fence. I caught up to her just as her rear hooves left the ground. I hit her in the rear-end doing around 45-50 mph.
First time I ever saw a cow fly. I betcha' I knocked her over 30 feet before she hit ground. She got up and took off running. She was fine.
I looked at the front of my truck....bumper, grill, radiator and hood all caved in. Steam spewing from the busted radiator.

Today's Featured Article - 12-Volt Conversions for 4-Cylinder Ford 2000 & 4000 Tractors - by Tommy Duvall. After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion. After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet). I did keep everything I replaced for the day I do want to restore her to showroom condition.
