Had a blow out on tarp used to cover dump trailer. At 55, the curved tarp acts like an airplane wing, generates lift.
I replaced tarp with a mesh tarp. Friend has one on his dump trailer that rolls up, but it won't cover the sides of the load. Plus when he rolls it up, he has to be careful for it not to fold when rolling. That wouldn't work for me when I heap the load. So I bought a 10x12 mesh to cover my 6x10 dump trailer. Screwed wood to each end. C-clamp the front end and two deck screws to hole the rear of tarp in place. Roll it up when I remove it. I love the mesh way better than a tarp. No more lift. It way better to use in the wind. Doesn't take that much time to install and remove. Only cost twice as much as the replacement tarp I used to use. Bought the mesh at Harbor Freight. 20 % off plus a free voltmeter. Never have too many cheap meters. I throw them away instead of repairing them. geo
