I have a 2007 New Body Silverado 1500. The transmission cooler line rusted a hole and drained all the fluid burning up the clutches. My local shop rebuilt the transmission with new clutches, torque converter, etc. It ran fine for the first 50 miles. Now it won't shift from 2nd to 3rd. Goes in reverse, neutral, 1st, and 2nd fine but it will not shift into 3rd. Shifting that it does is very smooth. No funny noises. No slipping. No check engine or any other dash lights. I checked fuses. Trying to do it manual with shift lever does nothing. Bottom line is it won't shift into 3rd from 2nd. Other than that everything else seems fine. Could this be the 2-3 shift solenoid, and if so, shouldn't it be making the check engine light come on?
