My daughter got a computer science degree from a major university and graduated 15 months ago. She managed to get a six-figure salary right out of school and does computer programming as her occupation. (She's female, so it fills the quota and she's VERY good at her job) Since she was mostly on scholarships, she spent very little on her schooling and now has money to spend. While I didn't agree with this decision, she also dropped $1K to be put on a waiting list for the new Tesla that will be coming out in a couple of years. (Did I say I didn't agree with that decision?) ANYWAY, we were talking a few months ago and she was very much in favor of the self-driving car. She couldn't wait for it. While I'm sure they have some advantages, I'm the type of guy who could be called a Doubting Thomas. So I asked her: "You are very familiar with viruses, correct?" Her: "Of course. I see them all the time." Me: "So what happens when somebody puts a virus in the self-driving car's automated program and all cars are programmed to turn left at the same time?" Her: Dead silence..... I never did her an answer from her.

But alas, my carb foiled me again, it would fire a second then flood out. After numerous dead ends for a replacement carb, I went to work fixing mine.I soldered new floats on the float arm, they came from an old motorcycle carb, replaced the packing on the throttle shaft with o-rings, cut new ga
