I pretty much hate plumbing also. About 2 weeks ago wife says "we have a problem". Seems the drain under the kitchen sink started leaking. So, on my back, under the sink with a flash light, determine the nut holding the first section of drain has deteriorated (it was metal), so I take everything apart (PVC), take to town and get a new one, put it in and it leaks where the nut attaches to the sink drain (the nut is PVC on this one. So, after numerous attempts to stop the leaking, finally determine the threads on the drain are corroded also. Another trip to town for a new drain, get it put in and all is well....so far. Thanks to a youblube video I got the old drain out without much trouble and the new one installed.
