You're doing better than me. I'm getting so nerved up I can't even sleep at night. Still haven't heard from the insurance company about the wreck the wife had a week ago Wednesday in a car we'd had for just a week and an hour. Some white trash on her cell phone ran a stop sign. She was able to drive away, but when I went to the body shop to check on it Wednesday,Larry said they told him they wanted to total it because the air bag went off. Like I said,I haven't talked to them yet to see what we can work out.
I rented from Enterprise to take that trip to Tennessee since we didn't have a car. I was gun shy so when the agent asked if I wanted the extra coverage,I instantly thought about how fast you can run in to trouble because of somebody else's stupidity. I asked him how much it was? He said the rental is $26 a day. The extra coverage is $36 a day. Now what does that sound like to you? Like the extra coverage is $10 a day and the total is $36? That's what it sounded like to me. I even asked him how much extra it would be on my card. He said "nothing,we'll just take it out of your deposit". The deposit was $250. I got back and found out the extra coverage was an additional $36 a day and the deposit didn't even cover it all. I owed another $1.51 and wasn't getting my deposit back.
The wife did some checking,it looked like Michigan's no fault law had been changed in 2012 so we could sue the woman who caused the accident,in small claims court for up to $1000. She even called the courthouse and they said we could. The other woman's insurance company called here yesterday morning to get my wife's side of the story. She wasn't here and I made the mistake of answering the phone. The guy told me I couldn't sue for anything except the deductible, and since State Farm had waived the deductible because it wasn't my wife's fault,we couldn't sue for anything. I wasn't even done with him when he hung up on me.
So then, still in a rage,I went out to grind feed. I backed the grinder up to a wagon in the driveway, got off to swing the auger around and heard tires squalling in the road. My first thought was calf, dog or cat in the road. I looked around the wagon and saw a guy throw a large cup of ice out the window toward my yard. He jumped out of the truck and started stomping back down the road toward the driveway with his phone in his hand. I walked halfway out and asked him what was going on? He didn't even look at me,just turned back around and stomped back. Wasn't but a minute,I saw a woman's feet along the passenger side like she was sitting on the edge of the seat.
I was grinding and watching off and on. When I looked one time,I saw her come up out of the ditch. Didn't see her go in,but saw her come out. Next thing I saw,she was on her knees on the other side of the truck, then down on her belly. She got back up,but pretty soon, she was down again. It was starting to get apparent to me that he was kicking the sh!t out of her. I came in and called 911. Before long there was 2 state cop cars out front and they had them separated. They were there for a good hour and a half. I still don't know what was going on. Somebody came and picked the woman up and a tow truck came and impounded the truck.
With all this BS going on,I was ready to move to the absolute dead center of nowhere and have everything I need delivered by Amazon drone. Did I mention how much I hate people sometimes?

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
