Been trouble shooting my John Deere 6620 combine Dial-a-matic header control. When using a jumper wire on the round pin electrical connector at the combine throat the throat will raise without the header attached. Put the John Deere 220 platform on and then jump it the hydraulic system will not raise. It tries some, flexing the floating head some, but it will not lift it. When I use the hydraulic lever in the cab it will raise right up. Does the hydraulic lever in the cab work on a open system and the auto header control maybe work on a closed system with a relief valve???? Maybe the closed system of the auto header has a weak pressure relief valve?????? Hydraulic system would get hot off and on when doing soybeans last year. Slowly getting this narrowed down. Thanks for your ideas.
