We somehow managed to get a TV up here in 1954 when TV went on the airwaves. An Admiral 21" B&W ....... seemed to blow vacumn tubes regularly and in those days, you fixed it or got it fixed. Today, it's cheaper to buy a new one, does anybody fix TV's anymore? Remember the tube testers at the corner drug store and the supply of tubes in the cabinet underneath? My dad was always down there testing, buying, and cursing the TV set. I used to run home from school and watch the Indian head test pattern for an hour or so before TV started up at 5 PM or so. Sign off was eleven o'clock, I remember that.

There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
