ALong winded a little, sorry. After thinking a little more, the TVs today weren't even thought of just four years ago. When I bought my Samsung, I bought the absolute best that was possible. Over $2 K. It is a model 8000 LED. Fantastic picture. I have a DVD / Blue Ray that is a Japanese illustrated movie. There is a section where they are looking at the stars at night. In a totally dark room pause the dvd and then turn the tv off. My screen is so black that the only thing that changes is the stars wink out. In video work that is called a full plus one. A real high quality monitor CAN produce absolute black with no hint of a dark dark grey preceptable. Another thing is your monitor should be able to produce absolute pure white. Not cream but white. No hints of color or hot and cool spots on the screen. More money but not that much more but again, the picture is fantsastic. Now the first thing is those curve screens. If you sit really really close, they make sense. Other than that I would get the biggest and best thing you can hang on the wall and don't go cheap. The LED sets are fantastic but take a look at the OLED sets. Organic led. The sets look like a living painting. Also most all of the good / top end of the line sets are 4K now. That is the same quality of a projection movie theater in your living room. Staggering quality. Off of a cable or your DVD Blue Ray are at best 1060 i. You can get 4k movies that you play through your computer. I know thus is for the super geeks but think this one over. The top of the line 77 inch Sony super duper TV is only 17,ooo. Yes 17k dollars. Go to best buy and very carefully look at everything and get hold of a very caring and patient sales person to answer all of your questions. I would stick with Samsung hands down no question. Also Sony. Very good quality.

Today's Featured Article - A Question for Dads This recent topic from the Tractor Talk discussion board is being highlighted because it is an awesome display of the caliber of individuals that have made this site their own. The young person asking questions received positive feedback and advice from total strangers who "told it like it is" with the care many reserve for their own kids. The advice is timeless... so although it isn't necessarily antique tractor related, it will be prominently displayed in our archives to honor those who have the courage to ask and those who have the courage to respond in an honest, positive manner.
