Just use an OA torch with just enough to boil out the oil and keep wiping it out as it seeps out. Do not put enough heat on to dammage any of the parts. I have done that on John Deere tractors after the auto new car dealer did it and showed me how to do it to the car I had bought off of him. If the linings are old I see no problem with that and will work good for years. Now this new material they use I have no idea how it will work on that but trying it you are not out any more than your time and a bit of gas. A small propane torch will also work, just take longer.
