Son just brought a house with this system the house has been on the market for some time. They make a low offer they took it  Its in the rich part of town the cheapest house around it is in the 400K range. The house was built in 1988 a nice house but not my life style... First night no hot water he thinks he gets the heater lit but its still not much hot water just luke warm at best.
I looked at it today it was not lit got it lite and it fired off my son said he had not heard the burner come on before. Before I left he said the water was getting hot are hotter than it was and the burner was still fired up.
That's not my question, I have read these systems are short lived I don't know how old this one is. My understanding it supply's heat for the house also thru a coil in the air handler. Its BIG and a bunch of plumbing goes to it. Has anyone used one of these systems...
He paid big money to have the house inspected they did find issues the owner fixed are made a haft arse attempt to fix... I would have backed out the first time they lied to me BUT his new wife's gotta have it...
