Fifteen years ago our daughter passed away at 27 years old during a routine surgery. Two weeks before the surgery our son had a nightmare about his sister passing away. It was bad enough he woke up his wife. I was in Dighton Kansas on the wheat harvest and had not planned on coming home for the surgery but three days before the surgery was scheduled I suddenly was in a very bad mood, almost in tears. After a few hours of acting like this I told myself I had to come home for the surgery so I did come home. It was a ten hour drive.
My son had not planned to take time off from work to be there for the surgery but at the last moment he decided to take the day off so he could be there.
Because of these premonitions we were all there as a family to support her before she was wheeled off to her final end. I even gave her a kiss on the forehead.
Someone up there had to be telling us something bad was going to happen during that surgery. Maybe some day I will find out who that someone is.
