OH the horror stories.......I have a BIL who borrows things from some people without asking permission. Wife and I were not home when he barrowed by trailer. My nephew had been close to my place with his snowmobile and broke down so my BIL came in, saw that we were not home and just took my trailer. The next day my MIL called first thing in the morning and told my wife how nice it was that I had let him borrow my trailer. Now my wife knows I don't lend ANY of her brothers barrow anything. So she gets off the phone and ask if I had let him borrow it. When I found out it was gone I got mad and was going to report it stolen. Wife begged me not to. So I called my BIL and told him he had an hour to get it back and told him there had better not be anything damaged. He told me he couldn't have it back in an hour, that he was in Fargo and he had let a friend of his sue it for the day. Wife still begged me not to call the cops. So the next day my BIL calls me and tells me where my trailer is, says "you can just go hook it up and take it home". That's when I told him the only reason he was talking to a cop instead of me was his sister. I told him one hour, it will be here, undamaged or I was calling to cops. At that point my wife knew better than to argue. He made it, one busted tail light and wiring harness trashed! BIL tells me "I'll get the stuff to fix it". Yea, I know better, I tell him you will fix it right now I have a spare light and a new trailer harness. He tries telling me he doesn't have time. I ask him if he has time to wait for the cops. He knows better to even drive onto out place without calling first. ANd he tries to act like he's this great Christian....... There have been other things I've lent out that have come back broken or I've had to chase down to get em back. I don't lend stuff out!

Today's Featured Article - 12-Volt Conversions for 4-Cylinder Ford 2000 & 4000 Tractors - by Tommy Duvall. After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion. After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet). I did keep everything I replaced for the day I do want to restore her to showroom condition.
