In some of the other posts there is discussion about the closing of mental institutions across the country and who was responsible. I am sure I will be butchered here but factually Ronald Reagon as POTUS was instrumental in closing institutions across America for budgetary reasons. And Reagon also signed into place the first " Assault" weapons ban, which was for a term of some years and expired under Busch Jr. When something like this happens it seems the " second amendment " is cast about like so much fish bait in an effort to demand that America must tolerate these incidents no matter how horrid. My take on it is that we should work together for some sort of common goal rather than wait for an inevitable reaction that will be coming as a majority of voters move for a cessation of mass violence, and the money pouring into congress from them exceeds the NRA contributions.
