Do a few troubles thing to start with. #1 Check that it has a good blue/white spark at the center wire on the distributor cap and at the 4 plug wires that jump a 1/4 inch gap or more #2 pull the carb drain plug and make sure you have a good steady flow of gas that will fill a pint jar in under 3 minutes. #3 when was the last time the air cleaner was serviced and the water and mud dumped out and good new oil put in As for spark plugs now days I have switch to the NGK3112 in my tractor they seem to handle this newer gas better then the champs or auto lite do
