Princess Theater in Edmonton's south side when I was a kid in the early 50's was the "go to" movie house. It's still there showing movies although it was shut down for some time along the way. Today, it's sort of one of those retro-movie places where all the beautiful people go to watch weird films. But back in the day, fifteen cents would get you in for a double feature on Saturday afternoon. One movie I remember watching there was Hurricane Smith ..... see the link below. There was another Hurricane Smith movie in '92 as well apparently. Another one was Invaders From Mars ... now THAT was a scary movie that had me experience a few sleepless nights.
