If it runs ok and the Select-o-speed is ok buy it. Jumpy gear shift are pretty normal. I'd like to find one. I think they are pretty collectable. I think some select-o-speed parts are very hard to find now. Go to the Ford page and do a search on it. If you are looking for a tractor to work every day, maybe keep looking. I don't think the 6000 was Fords most reliable model.
