We are in a similar situation in a small town, I have always been amazed by what people will do to dogs and cats. We seem to have always had a collection of dogs that just show up half starved, one foot in the grave. Fortunately we've built a relationship with a good vet that knows we're not out looking for them but don't run them off or over either. Dogs are funny........I've had the occasional dog bite, waded into a few dog fights to break it up, but after they get their legs back under them, food in their belly, their disposition changes and they defend the place like it's always been theirs. There's a special place for those kind of people that mistreat them.

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
