I understand the issue with transmission driven pto of 850's. My question is whether after disengaging the clutch, if you shift the tractor out of gear, will the momentum of something like a brush hog still turning still propel the tractor forward. My guess is that it will stop forward progression of the tractor since the drive train is no longer engaged/connected, thereby eliminating the need for an overrunning coupler? My ? is that I've ever seen this specific aspect/remedy addressed in any of the forums I've been linked to that talks about the drawbacks of the 850.
