Here are two John Deere hubs that are long, have JD stamped on the top of the hub cap, and the cap screws into the hub. The hub on the left is a John Deere 952 and the hub on the right is a John Deere 953. The 952 hub looks like a mushroom while the 953 is just plain. I have bought bearings, bearing cups, and grease seals for both gears at my local John Deere dealer. You can also buy them on Amazon. I have bought 2" pipe to replace bent reaches. I have had my local welding shop bend 1/8" steel to make new bolster stakes. I also needed a tongue and had to buy an old worn out 963 gear with a good tongue. The same tongue fits a 952, 953, and 963.
