Funny story about one of those. Last summer we still had an above ground pool. One morning my wife came running up to me and said that there was a big bird, a hawk she thought, swimming in our pool. I told her that if it was a hawk that it was not swimming. She got upset and asked if it was drowning, I said Probably. She told me to get it out and that she would go get a towel. I asked why she needed a towel. She said that so she could bring it in the house to dry it off. I told her that she really didn't want a wet angry hawk in her arms or even it the house. I finally made her understand why. There was also a quail in the pool. That was probably what it was after. This summer I heard a bang from our French doors in the dining room. There was an unconscious hawk laying on the porch. It had chased a bird straight into the glass. It took awhile but it finally recovered and flew away.
