I used all-thread rod. The precut short size was perfect over here, didn't even have to make my own cuts.
Threaded it in nice and deep, then put on a washer and nut, so I could lock it on nice and tight to the tractor.slip the weights on and tighten up. Can't remember if I put a nut on to hold each weight in place. Anyhow everything is nice and solid.
The allthread really worked nice. (Rod that is threaded all the way, no ends to it.)
