The D282 diesel engine was a notoriously cold blooded engine. Even after being run half a day as little as 15 minutes shut down they would require using the glow plugs to restart. My BIL and his father owned 3 at the same time and all 3 were the same way. Knew a couple of guys with 706 Farmalls with the D282 that were the same way.
Use the glow plugs and start it from the seat! If the starter button doesn't work fix it! The 560D has about 12 wires or less for the very simple wiring harness. Not hard at all to rewire if needed. I did one of the 560's my BIL had. Took about an hour to make a harness for it.
