I can tell you how I do it but I have Android phone. I take the pic and when I hit a box it has a list of places to send it to such as text,gmail, facebook. I send it to my gmail usually and when I get my laptop I open the mail and download the pic to my picture gallery. Later If I want to post it, you just upload that pic to the thread you or someone else started like right below me now.
