This site is run by a group of folk that sell old tractor parts.
Some day they will shut the door and turn out the lights.
Think what all will disappear.
Newagtalk is run by some farmers that do it for fun. Someday people will get old, get tired of it, and the lights will go out.
We are in the wild Wild West Days if the Internet still. Not too many rules, you can search and find just about anything, good or bad.
Someday society will hand down heavy rules and blocks and carve the place up, make it a whole different thing.
Businesses are working very hard to limit how the internet is accessed, so that they can profit from it. They give those ideas really cutie names, but the end result is that each company wants to limit which parts of the internet you can access. In short, they want to change the Internet from a free access to all corners; to more of a cable tv deal, you go through is and you can access these parts of the internet and no one else can, if you want to search Google you willhave a google access fee, if you want to search yahoo you have a yahoo access fee, if you want Facebook you need to be in on that google access deal, if you want a different social media you need a Microsoft access fee, etc. I think most of this is actually passing congress right now, and the days of enjoying the internet are soon over for all of us.
We used to get 3-4 tv channels with good stuff on it for free. Now we pay $100 a month to access 78 channels which mostly show infomercials and only have one good program on per channel all day. Isn't that stupid of us?
We will do the same to the internet. It's happening right now.

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
