Ford Golden Jubilee--has a high pitched "squeal" coming from the R.R. wheel. Thought it was a loose brake return spring-found one loose and and reattached it. Squeal is still present when rotating the axle. Too hard of hearing to use a conventional stethoscope, so can"t tell if it is coming from the wheel bearing or from the differential. Oil level OK. Would a bad wheel bearing make a high pitched noise, even with the slightest movement? Thinking of tearing it on down and replacing the bearing and hope that solves the problem. Any and all opinions and ideas welcome. Thanks.
