Seems like we should use only the old original equipment sediment bowls or not use the sediment bowl and modify it with a quarter turn valve and an inline screen like Steve suggested. The new ones are like every other new aftermarket part, they usually don't work well. Today I was browsing through an army surplus website and I saw sediment bowls, just the glass for $2.49 each. There was no dimension mentioned but they looked like the small ones that are on only the small tractors. I ordered a couple just because they are probably real old and well made.
