I made up a free-standing one to hold a sweeper roller like in your picture. I welded three pieces of oil field pipe to lie flat on the ground, each 120 degrees apart and joined in the center by a vertical piece of oil field pipe. I reinforced the joint where the pieces all come together with some short pieces of 7/8" sucker rod. The sweeper roller slips over the vertical pipe. So far, the cattle have not tipped it over. Each piece of oil field pipe is 5 feet long. The cattle really enjoy playing with it.
