I am selling an Allis G, open to cash or trades. Had a guy offer me and john boat and a commercial push mower. Said he was sure I could get $700 for the boat and $1300 for the mower. I told him that those were not items I was interested and he should sell those items and give me the cash. Strangely I never heard back.
On the other hand, I have had some good experiences trading. Currently in a long term deal where I am supplied with firewood in exchange for hay. Person on the other end has abundant wood and time but lacks cash. I have hay, need wood but always find myself short on time to get to the woods to harvest enough firewood. This is a win for both of us. I am happy with my end and they are happy with theirs. That is the ideal trade for me.
