Dixie just had them or is in the process of having the shingles. The weekend she broke out we had planed on getting the flu shot and shingle shot. We went Saturday to get the flu shots and was told they were not giving the shingle shots at this time. They had the serum called back and have not received the new yet. they said the old was only 60% effective and the new serum would be 90% effective in keeping you from getting shingles. Dixie will have to wait a full year because she has them and I can get the new shot in a month or so.
