Get the shot. The upside is much stronger than the downside. seven years ago this coming Christmas my dad who was 86 got shingles bad. It was the beginning if a downward spiral for him that now has him in a wheelchair in the nursing home. When he got shingles I was 59 going on 60 that coming February after he came down with it. At that time they wouldn't give the shot to any healthy person under 60. He kept telling me I WILL get the shingles shot when I turn 60 and I followed his orders. Marilyn had had shingles twice. First time was during finals her senior year in college. Second time was a couple years after we were married. She was young and strong then and got over it in short order. She too has had the shot now that she is older.
I am a strong advocate for vaccinations. My mom got polio when I was six months old. She was crippled for life. She could walk but needed an arm crutch at all times. I grew up assisting a crippled parent, walking alongside her offering a strong arm for her. We all know what vaccination did to polio. We don't hear of polio anymore here in the US but it is still present in countries that don't have a strong vaccination program. Sorry I strayed a little from the shingles topic.

After a few paragraphs I usually close the book and go back to banging out dents. A good friend and I were recently discussing our tractor electrical systems when he stated "I figure it all comes back to applying Ohms Law". At this point
