jm,
I went to the doc last week, gave me a scrip for the Prevnar (pneumo- whatever), TDAP (tetanus WITH pertussis, very important that it includes Pertussis protection for whooping cough, especially if you are or are likely to be around babies) and Shingles. Pharmacist where I got the shots gave me the Prevnar and TDAP but like RCP in his post, she said to wait for the new shingles. She'll call when it comes in and no idea when that is. I was hoping for days or weeks, not MONTHS.
Pharmacist gave the 2 shots in different arms and said they're likely to be sore for a few days and would probably have some mild side effects. Nothing happened, arms were only sore if I bumped them on something. Heck, at 67 I've got more soreness just getting out of bed in the AM. Oh, also got my flu shot last week.
