Makes you appreciate the people that put them there... they worked hard to clear land. Some I could not move with the backhoe- makes you wonder how they did it with horses.
I had a college classmate from a Maine potato farm. He claimed they had a large vacuum, kind of like a grain vac, on the conveyor belt at the potato packing house. The vac would lift the potatoes, but the rocks would stay put and roll off the end of the conveyor.
