Nope, you have to remove the axle. There is no other way. Actually removing the axle is not a difficult job. This what the Farmall A service manual states about the job......... REMOVAL OF AXLE SHAFT To remove the axle shaft, remove the inner bearing cap, the retainig cap screw and washers. Remove the outer bearing retainer cap screws and bottom oil pan. The axle may now be driven out of the inner bearing and bull gear hub. A steel spacer washer will be found between the bull gear hub and the inner bearing. Care must be taken to see that this washer is in place upon reassembly of the axle. The rear axle combination felt and leather seal is contained in the outer bearing retainer. The lip of the leather seal is assembled toward the bearing. It is necessary to remove the axle to replace this seal. Chart No. 1 shows the differential, final drive and rear axles. So, now you have the official instructions from an original IHC service manual. : Does anyone out there know of a way to replace the outer axle seal in a Super A without removing the axle?
