How a item is priced and how much detail is included the pictures and the description can make a big difference on what kind of buyers are attracted enough to inquire, how much time I need to spend with the buyer, and what the final price is. If I don't want buyers to waste my time, I spend extra time writing the description so they have an accurate description and don't need to waste my time. It's possible to have about 50 percent of the first lookers buying your items for your asking price.
I avoid using major round numbers when pricing an item, and I don't ask more than 10 percent over my absolute bottom price. $15,000 leaves the buyer wondering if the seller wants $14,000, $12,500 or $10,000, so it's safest to start with a $10,000 offer with the idea they can get it for $12,500 maximum. If an item is worth about $15,000, most of the time an asking price of $15,500, $16,000, $16,500 or $14,500 should get a higher initial offer and a higher sale price than an asking price of $15,000 will.
