i have a 71 that does the same thing, no apparent leaks, but it will drain the float bowl overnite, making for excessive cranking to start it the next day its not leaking into the manifold, if it did the engine would start and blow black smoke untill it got rid of the excessive fuel, liquid can drain uphill, something i learned from my water tank trailer, same principal as cleaning a fish tank, what i think is happening is overnite the fuel, since there is no air in the lines , is draining like a siphon, back into the tank, i plan to install a fuel cut off in the line just outside the carb, if that truck starts the next day that will confirm that's what is happening, then ill have to figure out a less pia way to prevent it , lol maybe a electric primer pump aka the old piston prop airplanes
