In cleaning out my MIL's estate I was lucky enough to get most of the machinery in the "tractor section" of the barn. Other inlaws took some stuff from the house. I wanted to throw most of the "junk" out but my SIL (who was executrix of the estate) jumped ugly with me about how I had no taste for valuable antiques. Paid appraisers came and looked at everything and politically correctly said most 'had no value' rather than use my term of "junk". Even what they thought might have value didn't sell. Loaded 2 large box trucks with bedding and cloths for Goodwill. Loaded 4 twenty yard dumpsters and one 15 yard with all the other 'antiques'. Since then I've become convinced that a person's life is measured in dumpsters in the end.
