Been absolutely covered up in work lately so I haven't been on here as much as usual, so, tonight I wanted to take a few minutes to share how things have been going lately.
It doesn't seem like it, but ten years ago last Thursday, I got married. My wife and I met on Nov 16th and got married two weeks later on the 30th. Between the economy going down, dealing with our daughters biological father, and everything else life could throw at us, we've had more than our share of tough times but came out of it all stronger than ever.
During this time, we spent far too long dealing with our daughters biological father in court. Thankfully the judge finally saw the light and revoked his parental rights about 3 years ago, allowing my adoption of our daughter to go forward. We signed the final papers back in August, and I finally got the letter from the state a week or so back saying 'Congratulations', that the new birth certificate has been issued, and everything is officially DONE. It was a long haul for all of us, and while I didn't need any papers to say she was mine, it's still nice to know it's finally 'legal and official'.
