Oh dear...mine was a 2001 also. White with beige leather seats. I never drove such a beautiful car. Electronics started going funky on it. Then a little rust showed up. It would ding ding at me all the while I was driving so I finally parked it so long it stopped running altogether. I sold it for $200 to the neighbor. He worked at the Ford Wixom facility (now gone...its a Menards) where they made Lincolns. Took that ba$tard about 5 minutes to get it started and they drove it away. I was just happy to see it drive off. One of only two vehicles I have really loved in my life. When your air bags are needing to be replaced...you will know. It doesn't make a secret of it. there will be a dramatic change.
