Retired for 18 years, but I remember being asked to join the "Management Team" by the two companies I worked the longest for. I never did get in management though.......Being an experienced maintenance mechanic I felt I could deal with the problems and challenges the machines and machinists gave me much better than the problems and challenges the management people and their phylosophies would be giving me. Maybe I missed being wealthy, but I still feel I was a good contributor to society all my working life and provider for my family. Looking back, if there is anything I would like to have done other than what I did, it is to have had my own enterprise instead of working for someone else all my life.

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
