I spent 13 years at Grand Forks Air Force Base, 8 as an NCO and 5 as a Civilian. I was there when the Flood of 97 hit, after a heck of a blizzard three weeks before that. Seen temps as low as -80 (actual) with -120 wind chill. Hope I never see anything like that again. Now living near Cheyenne, Wyoming. Still see snow, but I don't miss the below zero temps. Just have to deal with the frickin' wind here in the wintertime.
