Verizon had a Kyocera 2200 armored smart phone when I got mine- three years now, no screen cracks or damage anywhere, been dropped several times. AT&T had a similar phone that my coworker got, he has had just as good of results. I now wear retired cargo pants from my work uniform sets on the farm- the thigh pockets work better for me to carry the phone with out leaning on it or dropping it.
Mine saved me a partial trip yesterday, buying roll insulation at Home Depot, I was able to check prices and availability at the local Lowes real time, and got a better price on two rolls and one package that Lowes did not have in stock. To each his own.
